The Northwestern part of Greece anyway particularly the mountainous area were mostly the place being affected by the Alpine type of climate. While the Temperate types of the climate affects the Central Macedonia, as well as the East Macedonia and the Thrace. The city of Athens however experiences both the type of climate of temperate and Mediterranean. In the city’s northern suburb are being controlled by the temperate type while the downtown as well as the southern suburbs has a typical Mediterranean type.
