Next to Spain, Greece has become one of the most sought after cities when it comes to acquisition of property ownership. Greece is a pleasant and peaceful country that does not line alongside the countries that makes living an awful complex. If your main purpose is to live in a place far from the normal bustles of your world, it is not surprising Greece would rest in line with the most likely choices. Many who are in search for a property overseas retreat to Greece. Not only is the country peaceful and uncomplicated, but the fascinating landmarks of history are evident in its amphitheatres and cityscape. Living in Greece can take you back to the enchantment of the times. The beautiful countryside and fantastic coasts provide natural wonders to the senses, granting an indeed relaxing place to live in. There are many other reasons justifying Greece as a place of its own, but most think it as a place to have something they can call their own.

Fellow Europeans generally do not have a hard time acquiring a property in this country as it is usually granted without the unnecessary fussiness. Although buying a property in a foreign country can be complicating and risky, the aid of a lawyer will make business deals manageable. Otherwise, you will get yourself prone to likely major mistakes as such cases of unrecorded dual ownership of property thus putting you at serious risk. The aid of a lawyer will settle direct concerns for you. In addition to getting a lawyer’s aid is securing an independent survey, where you can attain the best price of your desired property in the country. You will be granted a bargaining power granted that will emphasize any deficiencies in the property. The buying process of a property in Greece involves making an offer for the property, a drafted preliminary contract and initial deposit.  Surf and read your way to Greece

I have to say, “Oh my wonderful Greece!!” . I just love anything Greek. Well.. especially there literature. Have you heard of Hercules? Oedipus? My God! They are the coolest among the Greek literature figure. How I dreamed of this all my life… of stepping on Grecian soil. The land of my favorite heroes. How I daydreamed of all those God and Goddesses they have. This is definitely an ultimate dream come true. Now, I am staying in one of the beautiful island of Crete, Greece receiving cousins and family every Christmas and holidays.

Greece is a country in the Balkan Peninsula on its southernmost tip located in Southern Europe. This country is also famous on its famous contribution in arts, philosophy, sports and including the Olympics.

If you came from a country that is a member of the European Economic Area and European Union, then a visa is not an urgent need for you may enter Greece using your national valid identification. Countries like Spain, Portugal, Sweden, France, etc.

You can arrive in Greece by plane and ferry. If you are from Italy, then a ferry leaves on a daily basis from your place to Greece. The nation’s flag carrier- Olympic Airlines can transport you from the different cities of Europe, Southeast Asia, Middle East and North America to Eleftherios Venizelos Internationa Airport in Athens – Greece’s main hub and the largest international airport in Greece.

From Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport, Athens it would take only an hour of plane ride. And if you take a day ferry it will take only six to nine hours. You will really love the towns in this place like the the Heraklion and Rethymnon. You will see infrastructures like the St. Catherine’s church and the Fortezza. Beaches also abound in this area complemented with the caves that are connected with Greek mythology (Diktaeon andron cave).

I thanked my lucky star for the books that I have read during my high school days because they gave me the inspiration, the drive to really fulfill my dream of staying in Greece. With the advent of computers and internet I saw Greece the very first time with all its color and splendor. With this thought in mind I didn’t rush things up and buy a house in Greece. Instead, I took a bite of Greece’s tourism and find it wonderful to my taste. I then tasted Greece’s lifestyle and stayed in the Island of Crete renting a self-catering villa for a year. After then, I found it to my taste and decided to process my paper with a help of a lawyer friend. This is all because of Greek mythology and History that I read way back home in New York and in the internet.

If you’re having trouble deciding where to take your Greek holiday - where the best sun, sea and surf is, why not do as the Spanish so and take one of the cruceros Islas Griegas? This way you get to experience the best of every world and really make the most of your holiday - what better way to see Greece than approaching via a stunning cruise ship?

 Spring in Greece

Spring in Greece
GREECE has one of the oldest existing civilizations in the world and it’s nice to spend your one-week spring break here even though your parents are not Greek or even though you don’t have Greek blood in you. To prepare for your vacation here, you must rent My Big Fat Greek Wedding, view My Big Fat Greek Life on television and rent past episodes so that you will be immersed a little in Greek culture. Of course, there are lots of Greek-American actors and actresses that I like but I will discuss it in a while here. Meanwhile, I’d like to point out that in going to Greece, you must try flying via Olympic Airlines because it’s the flag carrier of Greece.

There are 742 plant species in Greece and each one of them blooms beautiful flowers of varied colors in spring. For that reason alone, you will never regret being in here during your one-week spring break. Among the plants budding here during spring are fir, beech, pine, chestnut, oak, rice, cotton, tobacco, grapes, figs, pomegranates, almonds, dates, olives and oranges. It’s no surprising that there are lots of olives here because Greece is located in the Mediterranean basin. And because of that, olive oil is definitely abundant as cooking oil here so it is cheaper to purchase it than in most countries. Olive oil is the healthiest cooking oil in the world because of its low fat content and Greek staple includes seafood which is healthy so therefore, the Greeks have one of the highest life expectancies in the world.

Now I will tell you about the few Greek American actors that I love. One of them is Hank Azaria. According to my Internet research, he has already starred in 58 movies but I have seen only two of them, Godzilla and Along Came Polly. In both roles, he plays pretty convincing. In Godzilla, his terrifying face in front of the monster was really convincing to us movie audiences way back in 1998 while in Along Came Polly, he plays convincingly as a nudist who was the object of Jennifer Aniston’s affection.

Another cute Greek actor that I like is John Stamos. He is the former husband of hot model Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and he is known as Dr. Tony Gates in ER. Of course, another hot Greek actor that I like is Michael Constantine who is more known as the one playing opposite Nia Vardalos in My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

About

Welcome to RealEstateGreece.info! Many people are thinking of buying property in Greece, but are daunted by the process and the monumental task of choosing a place and applying for a loan. However, it is not as complicated as it seems-especially if you get an expert to guide you through the process. This website hopes to give you information that may help you, but nothing can substitute actually hiring a consultant who knows the real estate process inside out. For example, while there are several Greek properties that are up for sale, do know that there are some places where foreigners can't buy land. These restrictions apply in areas that sit near the country's borders, such as the eastern Aegean, Dodecanese Islands, regions of northern Greece, Crete and Rhodes. There are also cases where those who are not citizens of the European Union must apply to the council of the local prefecture. Real estate agents can inform you of these laws and help you apply for approval.
